FREE LECTURE TOMORROW:
For those of you who’ve not been in the studio with me recently, you may be wondering about my new-found fascination with wax and watercolor…What’s the big deal? Well for me, it’s become a mind expanding new approach to value and layering. It’s a new tool in my tool-kit of techniques for preserving values as I develop a painting. The many methods of application, and the various results I can achieve have me fascinated and excited! Maybe you’ll feel the same after you learn a bit more about it…
Join me at the Myrtle Beach Art Museum Sunday Feb. 21, at 1PM for my Free presentation on Wax and Watercolor. I’ll be giving information on how to achieve lots of the effects shown here in these pieces. I’ll also have some wax and watercolor for you to play with…
Afterward, you can join me at Collector’s Art Gallery and Café for the Annual Collector’s Event fundraiser for the Museum. I’ll have a piece in the show. Reverse raffle tickets are $100 and get you the opportunity to take home the painting of your choice when your number is called. I believe the show is sold out…but there’s always next year!
Hope to see you at both =)
